Abdul El-Sayed is neck and neck with Mike Rogers in Michigan. If he wins, don't mistake it for a mandate for his radicalism. The explanation may be simpler: El-Sayed is highly media-trained and knows how to exploit Republican unpopularity. |
Even Fox News hosts are charmed by him. After interviewing him in August, Jesse Watters said, "I actually like Abdul. I probably shouldn't like him, but I do." On The Five, the hosts kept him on air for extra segments. Trump complained that Fox lets him "talk, talk, talk" and "hardly fight him at all." |
Asked about campaigning with Hasan Piker — the radical socialist influencer who says America deserved 9/11 — El-Sayed brushes off the "California streamer" and turns the conversation to gas prices and health care.
